Supervisor: Vice President of Operations

Duties:
All functions and duties associated with properly managing Admissions, SEVIS and USCIS functions, including but not limited to:

  • Manage and develop the Admissions Specialists and Designated School Official (DSO) Coordinator position;
  • Set appropriate goals and service expectations for the team with a focus on service, response time and database accuracy;
  • Perform the role of Primary Designated School Official (PDSO) for the company, oversee the training of center DSO’s, DSO Coordinator and continuous monitoring of compliance issues with SEVIS, USCIS and DHS;
  • Utilizing databases to input and update student enrollments and information from local and international offices using standardized processes;
  • Communicating with internal sales, center and accounting teams to maintain integrity and consistency of the admissions and sales process;
  • Following up with students and agents to ensure smooth enrollment process and that payment is received prior to arrival;
  • Communicating directly with sales team and internal staff to ensure student documents are sent in acceptable timeframe;
  • All other functions that promote the business and goodwill of TALK and subsidiaries.

Desired:

  • Candidates should have/be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, with a BA preferred. Courses in business management, cross-cultural awareness preferred;
  • Strong understanding of immigration policies with Designated School Official training preferred;
  • Minimum of 3 years working in customer service, management and marketing preferably in an international or educational context with an understanding of the needs of international students;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, fostering cooperation and teamwork;
  • Full computer literacy with both Microsoft Office and standard database functions;

Duties: Assisting in all aspects of the sales process, including but not limited to:
• Pursuing chats and leads attained through our marketing channels;
• Responding to leads by e-mail, telephone or other methods, providing information and documentation regarding TALK International, our courses, prices and all other details;
• Ensuring proper paper flow including processing student visa documentation and payment;

• Arranging and participating in meetings, conferences and team activities to promote TALK

In order to be considered for a teaching position, all candidates must meet or exceed the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 months full-time experience teaching English as a second or foreign language
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States

The following are also preferred and highly valued at TALK:

  • Master’s degree in TESOL/TEFL with emphasis on practical classroom techniques, or related field
  • TESOL/TESL/TEFL or CELTA certification
  • Native English fluency
  • Experience living abroad
  • Fluency in a second language
